WHAT YOU’LL FIND IN YOUR CLIENT PORTAL:

A submittal is any document or item sent by contractors for approval by the design team, confirming that the materials, products, and equipment planned for construction meet the contract requirements.

Submittals can include product data sheets, samples, mockups, manuals, and more. Because approval by an architect or engineer is required before work can proceed, schedule delays often occur when submittals are not approved in a timely manner.

View project documents here. These will include our contract, change orders, architectural drawings, specification sheets, RFI's, or any other pertinent documents.

While subcontractors are preparing submittals to send for design review, questions frequently arise about the drawings or specifications that need answers before they can proceed. Contractors often send a Request For Information, or RFI, to the design team to ask questions and request clarification to ensure they prepare the correct items. In order for a submittal to be developed, RFI’s must be answered in a timely manner to avoid schedule delays.

Keep an eye on construction progress by viewing photographs here. Photographs are uploaded to this folder in real-time. If there is a photo that you can't see here, it hasn't been taken yet!

Extra work refers to work that is independent of the contract and not required in its performance. For example, if an owner requests that we paint a room a different color than originally specified, that would be considered extra work.

Additional work is required for the contract’s performance, without which it could not be carried out. For example, if we disccover a problem that was not visible during the initial inspection, repairing the problem would be considered additional work.
